Research Oversight Committee Guest Slots Available
The Brigham Research Institute Executive Committee is opening three guest slots at each monthly Research Oversight Committee (ROC) meeting. If you wish to attend a ROC meeting, please sign up here. Research Sundry Fund Program
The Office of the Brigham Health President, in concert with Brigham Health department chairs, has made funds available beginning in FY20 to support a new program to establish or contribute to research sundry funds for Brigham investigators who obtain multi-year, non-mentored National Institutes of Health grants. No application is required; monies will be available for awards made on or after Oct. 1, 2019. Visit the BRI website for more information.
FY2020 Compliance Education
FY2020 courses are now available in HealthStream. Please complete all the assignments by Tues., Dec. 31. To access HealthStream assignments, go to the Partners application menu in the Start menu titled: HealthStream – Chrome. For Windows 7 users, go to Partners Applications > Utilities > HealthStream. For users not on a Partners device, please access HealthStream through workspace.partners.org.
Stop the Bleed, Save a Life
The Brigham, in partnership with The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation, is pleased to offer free Stop the Bleed trainings to employees and the general public. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action that encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped and empowered to help in a bleed emergency before first responders arrive. Participants will learn basic bleeding control techniques, tourniquet application and wound packing. For a list of dates, times and locations, visit PikeNotes. Connors Center Research Data Blitz
The Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology’s Second Annual Research Data Blitz will take place on Nov. 19 from 2:30—5:00 p.m., followed by a reception from 5:00 p.m. — 6:00 p.m. This event is open to the entire academic community.
