Save the Date: PIE Awards, Feb. 27
The annual Partners in Excellence (PIE) Awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m., in Bornstein Amphitheater. Seating is limited; priority seating in Bornstein will be reserved for individual and team leader PIE recipients. Team member recipients and colleagues may view a live webcast of the ceremony in Carrie Hall or via webcast.
Women’s Health Interdisciplinary Stress Program in Research (WHISPR)
The Connors Center for Women’s Health & Gender Biology is pleased to announce the 2nd annual request for proposals from the Brigham research community. The goal of WHISPR is to advance our understanding of how physiologic and psychological stress affects women’s health and disease, and vice versa. Two one-year grants, each for $25,000 in direct costs (plus applicable indirect rate of 15 percent), will be awarded. For more information about the application process, please click here.
William K. Bowes, Jr. Award in Medical Genetics
The William K. Bowes, Jr. Award in Medical Genetics was established to recognize and honor an outstanding physician or scientist who is completing or has recently completed his or her training in medical or laboratory genetics or a combined training program with medical genetics. The recipient will be presented with a cash award of $20,000 at a black-tie dinner on June 19. The awardee will also join a nationally recognized senior geneticist to present at Grand Rounds at Harvard Medical School. Applications are due March 1. For more information, please click here.
Discover Brigham 2019 Request for Sessions & Demos
In an effort to feature topics and issues most relevant to the Brigham community at Discover Brigham 2019, the Brigham Research Institute is opening a call for proposals. Brigham researchers, clinicians and staff are invited to submit ideas for sessions focused on research and/or clinical innovation topics and/or demos at this annual research showcase. Come up with your best idea(s) and the BRI will provide all the logistical support necessary to execute your vision for a session or demo at Discover Brigham. Proposals are due March 15 and should be submitted electronically.
