Fitzgerald to Retire June 30
Anne Fitzgerald, vice president of Network Development at Brigham and Women’s Health Care, has decided to retire. Her last day at the Brigham will be June 30.
Over the course of six years, first as executive director and then as vice president, Fitzgerald nurtured partnerships with several institutions. These include South Shore Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, Milford Hospital, Sturdy Hospital, Care New England and very recently Lifespan. These relationships helped create joint clinical programs in high quality community entities that allow patients to be cared for where they live and work unless they need access to the high-end tertiary and quaternary services at BWHC.
“Anne did an outstanding job of fostering and sustaining strong relationships and clinical collaborations with hospital systems and physician groups outside of the BWHC family,” said Allen L. Smith, MD, MS, president of the Brigham and Women’s Physicians’ Organization. “Because of her exemplary leadership and commitment, we have been able to consistently provide value-added services to patients and families, their communities, the local care delivery system and to BWHC. “
A transition plan will be put in place soon.
